Miss Contestants:To be eligible, contestants must be:
between the ages of 17-24
a U.S. citizen
reside, work or attend school in Illinois for the last 6 months
meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Organization
be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements
must be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities.
A $100 donation to Children’s Miracle Network, the official platform of the Miss America Organization, must also be raised to compete.
Competition categories include, Private Interview, Talent, Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit, Evening Wear and On-Stage Question.
The titleholder of Miss Metro East will compete in the next Miss Illinois competition in June.
All contestants must be available for Spring Forum and Miss Illinois Week.
Areas of Competition:
Outstanding Teen - Ages 13-17
Contestant must reside or attend school in Illinois for the last six months
Contestant may not turn 18 on or before July 31st of the year of the National Finals
Contestant must be available for the Miss Illinois Outstanding Teen Pageant and the Miss Illinois Pageant
There is an entry fee of $100--please make checks out to Lindenwood University-Belleville with Miss Metro East in the Memo
Areas of Competition:
Pre-Teen - Ages 10-12
Contestant must reside or attend school in Illinois for the last six months
Contestant must be age 10 by the date of the pageant but not turn 13 by August of the year of the MAOT finals
Contestant must be available for the Miss Illinois Outstanding Pre-Teen Pageant and the Miss Illinois Pageant

Areas of Competition
Princess- Ages 5-12
The Miss Metro East Princess Program is a mentoring program enabling aspiring young girls (ages 5-12 and not eligible to compete in the Pre-Teen program) to be mentored by the Miss Metro East titleholder that will be competing for the title of Miss Illinois.
At the Miss Metro East Princess pageant, all contestants will receive a princess Tiara and sash. Every contestant has the opportunity to participate in Miss Illinois Princess Mentoring program if she chooses.
Princesses will participate in the following categories:
· On-Stage Question - Any age appropriate dress of choice (SAME as FORMAL Wear)
· Sports wear- Miss Metro East T-shirt with Black Soffe shorts
· Formal Wear -- Any age appropriate dress of choice
The titleholder(s) of Miss Metro East Princess will need to be available during Miss Illinois week in June

- Gown/Evening Wear (20%)- Age appropriate, tasteful long gown

- Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit (15%)- 1 or two piece swimsuit
